Stage 2: Joyful and Efficient

Think about…your body language

People can tell how we regard them based on our body language. We naturally smile more and have a more open position with people we like or highly regard. We also tend to have more closed body language with people we consciously or subconsciously don’t like.

Take a moment to notice your body language patterns with different students.

  • Do you listen more intently to certain students?
  • What does your default body language communicate in general to your students? Excitement, frustration, curiosity, impatience?
  • How can you improve what your body language communicates?
  • What does it look like to communicate joy and curiosity?

What do you think?
